MANKATO (TEC News) -- Court records show a former girls' basketball coach at Lake Crystal-Welcome Memorial entered a guility plea this morning to all five counts of 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.

Sentencing for 29-year-old Steve Campbell has been set for March 21 at 9:30 a.m. infront of Judge Bradley Walker.

His jury trial had been scheduled to begin next Wednesday.

The girl was 17 when Campbell and the girl had sex at least five times between September 27th, 2010 and October 3, 2010.

Because she was 17, the sexual relationship was only illegal because he was in a position of authority over the girl.

The defense had been challenging the notion Campbell was in a position of authority over the girls because he technically was between contracts when the relationship happened.
